We, the Bokun family, would like to extend our warmest welcome to you, our distinguished guests!

When in 1985 we opened our guesthouse in a 400 years old stone house, we just wanted to have a place where all of our guests would have what we think is most important in travelling: security, cleanliness, a warm welcome and helpful staff.

Location

The Bokun Guesthouse is situated in a peaceful area surrounded by a huge and beautiful garden. You would think you are in a village: in fact you are in the center of the city! We are only 20 min away from the Old Town by foot, or 5 min with local buses. Additionally, the port and the intercity bus terminal are only 5 - 10 min away. Read more

Our terrace

We offer a spacious terrace with a BBQ area where guests can relax and meet other travelers from around the world. You can have breakfast on our terrace for only 50kn (6.50 €) per person.

Location

Where we are located

Dubrovnik is situated at the far south of the Republic of Croatia. The city itself has many quarters: Lapad, Gruž, Ploče, Mokošica, and so on. Our guesthouse lies within Gruž, Dubrovnik's natural harbour. It is the economical center of the city where you can find all urban facilities that you might need: shopping malls, the green market and fish market, bars and restaurants, the bus terminal and the port, the main post office and banks. The Old Town is only 20 min away by foot. If you take the local bus which stops nearby you will reach it within 5 min.

Many ways lead to... us, regardless which means of transport you choose:

By airplane

The airport of Dubrovnik (DBV) is connected with every major city in Europe. There are several companies that fly directly to Dubrovnik, e.g.: Croatia Airlines, British Airways, Air Lingus, Germanwings, TUI fly, SAS Scandinavian Airlines, Hapag Lloyd, and many more. From the airport to the city you have two options:

  • Bus line.
    There is an organized bus line to Dubrovnik bus terminal (Autobusni Kolodvor). The buses' schedules are adjusted to the arrival times of the regular, non-charter flights. The ticket is 35kn (~4.50 €).
  • Taxi service.
    Available during the operating hours of the airport. The price is about 250kn (~34 €).

By bus

There are many bus lines to Dubrovnik originating from all major Croatian cities. In addition, a few international bus lines connect Dubrovnik with e.g. Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and Bosnia & Hercegovina.

Arriving at the bus terminal you can simply walk towards the end of the bay alongside the quay (when facing the bus terminal on your left). About 50 m before reaching the end of the bay you will see a small yellow sign reading “Sobe · Rooms · Zimmer · Camere - 30 m”.

By ship

Ferries operated by Jadrolinija join Dubrovnik with Rijeka, Split, and many other places in between. Dubrovnik is also linked with Bari in Italy via ferries of Azzurralines.

By car

The “Jadranska Magistrala” (D8) is the most important road that connects Dubrovnik with the northern part of Croatia. When entering the city from the north you will cross a suspension bridge “Most Dr. Franja Tuđmana”; immediately after the bridge turn left, and then, reaching sea level, turn left again eventually passing underneath the bridge. Then follow the seashore until the end of the bay. About 50 m before reaching the end of the bay you will see a small yellow sign reading “Sobe · Rooms · Zimmer · Camere - 30 m”. Parking lots are available along the road and turning right at the traffic lights.

Accomodation

Our rooms and apartments

We offer spacious, well furnished double bed rooms and twin rooms. The rooms' dimensions are from 17 to 21 m² (182-225 sq ft), some facing to the green backyard, and some have a view to the port, obstructed only by a beautiful 400 years old summer residence of one of Dubrovnik's noble families. All our five double rooms and three twin rooms are air-conditioned and feature satellite TVs.

Two of the three apartments are located on the backside of the house, and one is on the top floor of our house. Each have 35 m² (540 sq ft) and accommodate 2+1 persons. The apartments have a lounge, full kitchen facilities, a bedroom (double bed), and a bathroom. All apartments feature satellite TVs and air condition.

Free of charge:
